Overview:

TP-Link VIGI InSight S245 is a professional-grade 4MP full-colour dome network camera designed for reliable, around-the-clock surveillance in both indoor and outdoor environments. With advanced imaging, intelligent detection, and active deterrence capabilities, it delivers clear visual evidence, accurate alerts, and strong situational awareness even in challenging lighting conditions. Built with a durable metal housing and wide dynamic range imaging, it is well suited for commercial sites, retail spaces, offices, warehouses, and public areas where dependable security coverage matters.

Description:

The TP-Link VIGI InSight S245 4MP dome camera provides continuous full-colour video with sharp 2688 x 1520 resolution, intelligent people and vehicle detection, and efficient H.265+ video compression to reduce storage demands. Equipped with infrared and white LEDs for up to 30 m illumination, two-way audio for real-time communication, and support for MicroSD storage up to 512 GB, it offers a powerful all-in-one surveillance solution with smart analytics, active defense, and robust environmental protection.

Features:

Clear Imaging Day and Night
This camera captures detailed 4MP video with accurate colour reproduction throughout the day and night. A high-sensitivity sensor combined with white light and infrared illumination ensures visibility even in near-total darkness, while Smart IR automatically adjusts lighting intensity to prevent overexposure at close range. The 120 dB wide dynamic range balances bright and dark areas, making it effective in scenes with strong backlighting or mixed lighting sources.

Intelligent Detection and Smarter Alerts
Built-in analytics help reduce false alarms by accurately identifying people and vehicles rather than irrelevant motion. This allows faster incident review and more meaningful notifications, improving response times and overall security efficiency. Detection options include intrusion, line crossing, region entry and exit, loitering, object removal, and abnormal sound detection, all supported by deep learning algorithms.

Active Defense and Two-Way Communication
Active deterrence capabilities allow the camera to trigger audible warnings or white light flashing when specific events occur. The integrated microphone and speaker enable two-way audio, making it possible to communicate directly with individuals on site or issue real-time warnings when needed.

Optimised Video Storage and Streaming
Advanced H.265+ compression significantly reduces bandwidth usage and storage requirements while maintaining image quality. Multiple stream support enables up to three main streams and three sub-streams simultaneously, making it easier to manage live viewing and recording across different devices and platforms.

Lens Options and Coverage Control
Available with 2.8 mm or 4 mm fixed focal lenses, the camera provides flexible field-of-view choices to match different installation needs. Manual pan, tilt, and rotation adjustments allow precise positioning for optimal coverage in a wide range of environments.

Key lens and coverage highlights include:

• Fixed focal lens options of 2.8 mm or 4 mm with wide-angle viewing
• Detection distances up to 80 m depending on lens selection
• Manual adjustment range supporting flexible installation angles

Audio, Network, and Integration Support
The camera supports two-way audio with noise filtering for clearer communication and integrates easily into existing systems via ONVIF compatibility. It works with the VIGI App, web interface, and VIGI VMS, providing flexible management options across desktop and mobile platforms. Secure network protocols and encryption help protect video data and system access.

Built for Demanding Environments
Designed for long-term reliability, the metal housing offers strong resistance to harsh conditions and vandalism. With IP67 waterproof and IK10 vandal-proof ratings, the camera performs reliably in outdoor installations and high-risk areas, operating in temperatures from -30 to 60 degrees C.

Additional practical details include:

• Built-in MicroSD card slot supporting up to 512 GB for local recording
• PoE and DC power options for flexible deployment
• Compact dome design suitable for ceilings or wall mounting

The TP-Link VIGI InSight S245 combines intelligent analytics, full-colour imaging, and robust construction into a single, easy-to-manage security camera, making it a strong choice for professional surveillance applications that demand clarity, reliability, and smart monitoring.
