Overview Summary

What tier does this fall into?

Premium Home Cinema / Mid-High End

What is this best for?

Home theatre, gaming large-screen, streaming movies, immersive presentations

The Hisense PT1 projects massive screen sizes from just inches away thanks to its ultra-short-throw optical design, making it ideal for living rooms or media spaces where mounting distance is limited. With its pure RGB triple-laser (Trichroma) light source, it delivers exceptional colour accuracy and coverage - extending to 110% of the BT.2020 colour space - and supports modern HDR formats including Dolby Vision and HDR10+ for true cinematic visuals.

This model is also built for versatility: it offers smart connectivity via the VIDAA platform (or equivalent) for streaming, integrates AI-driven upscaling and image clarity features, supports large screen sizes from 80” up to 150” with rapid setup, and includes built-in speakers for convenient audio output. Whether you are watching blockbuster films, gaming on a console, or sharing major presentations, the PT1 brings home-cinema scale and quality without the need for a huge dedicated projection room.

Description

The Hisense PT1 is engineered to bring a genuine cinema experience into your home without the spatial compromises typical of large-screen projectors. Its ultra-short-throw (UST) lens allows it to cast an immense 80” to 150” image from a very small distance to the wall, meeting the demands of modern living-room layouts. The tri-laser LPU engine (red, green and blue lasers) produces rich, true-to-life colours with high gamut coverage and very low colour error - enabling bright scenes, deep blacks and subtle gradients in HDR content.

Beyond stunning visuals, the PT1 also features smart capabilities for ease of use. Select streaming services and apps are accessible via the built-in OS, remote control or voice support. It handles 4K resolution with AI-based upscaling from lower-res sources, ensuring that everything you watch looks sharper and more refined. For gamers, the projector adds relevant low latency, multiple HDMI inputs (including HDMI 2.1 in many regions) and smart image modes.

The chassis is designed with a modern living space in mind: compact yet powerful, the unit sits close to the wall and avoids the need for ceiling mounts or long throw distances. Installation is straightforward, making the PT1 one of the most accessible high-performing laser cinema solutions for a home environment. From movies and series to games and streamed content, this projector is ready to deliver large-format entertainment with style and impact.

FAQ

What screen size can the Hisense PT1 support?

The projector supports a projected image size range from approximately 80 inches up to 150 inches diagonal, making it suitable for large-format viewing in typical living-room or media-room setups.

Does it require a large distance from the wall to project a big screen?

No. Thanks to its ultra-short-throw optics (around 0.20-0.22 throw ratio), the PT1 can sit very close to the wall or screen surface and still project a large image, simplifying installation in rooms where space is limited.

Is the PT1 suitable for a bright living-room environment?

Yes. With 2 500 ANSI lumens output and a high colour gamut engine, it is capable of producing bright and vibrant images even with some ambient light present. For best HDR performance and full brightness impact, some ambient light control is still beneficial.

Can it be used for gaming as well as movies?

Yes. The Hisense PT1 includes features such as low input lag in Game mode, multiple HDMI 2.1 ports, and large screen scale which makes it suitable for console or PC gaming as well as movie-watching.

What streaming and smart features are built in?

The projector comes with the VIDAA smart OS (or regional equivalent), giving access to major streaming services, voice control, AirPlay/Chromecast-style sharing and network connectivity for versatile content delivery.
