Snom M900 Multicell DECT Base Station - Out Door

snom M900 Multicell DECT Base Station - Out Door, Multi-Cell with up to 1000 bases in a Cluster, Up to 4000 handsets in a Cluster, TLS Encryption

Overview:

Snom M900 Outdoor DECT Base Station
The Snom M900 Outdoor is a professional outdoor DECT base station designed for reliable wireless communication across demanding environments. With support for large multi-cell deployments, it can form a cluster of up to 1,000 bases supporting as many as 4,000 handsets. The IP55-rated housing provides protection against dust and water splashes, making the Snom M900 Outdoor suitable for warehouses, hospitals, industrial sites, office campuses and other areas where standard indoor DECT equipment may not be appropriate.

Description:

The Snom M900 Outdoor combines robust outdoor protection with the advanced multi-cell DECT capabilities of the Snom M900 platform. Its weather-resistant enclosure is designed to withstand demanding conditions, while specially protected electronic components provide additional resistance to temperature changes, moisture and foreign bodies. The housing also has space for optional equipment such as a heater, although the heater is not included.

For larger installations, the integrated DECT Manager helps coordinate multiple base stations and supports seamless handover between coverage areas. This allows calls to move between individual bases without interruption, including across different floors or buildings. DECT and LAN synchronisation options provide additional flexibility when designing the network.

Security is also built into the Snom M900 Outdoor, with TLS encryption helping protect business communications. IT administrators can manage the system through the integrated Web UI, while over-the-air software updates allow connected handsets to receive software and configuration updates wirelessly. This can reduce the amount of hands-on maintenance required across larger DECT deployments.

Features:

Outdoor DECT Communication for Demanding Environments
The IP55-rated Snom M900 Outdoor is built for locations where exposure to dust, rain and moisture can be a concern. Its durable housing provides a practical solution for extending DECT coverage beyond traditional indoor environments.

Typical applications include:

• Warehouses and distribution centres
• Industrial facilities and production environments
• Hospitals and healthcare facilities
• Office buildings and business campuses
• Large outdoor or semi-outdoor areas
• Multi-building communication installations

Large-Scale Multi-Cell DECT System
The Snom M900 Outdoor is designed for scalable business communication networks. With the integrated DECT Manager, a single installation can support up to 1,000 Snom M900 base stations and up to 4,000 handsets.

Seamless handover allows users to move between coverage areas while maintaining active calls. This is particularly useful in large warehouses, hospitals, industrial sites and multi-storey buildings where users need continuous wireless mobility.

Reliable Protection for Outdoor Installation
The base station has an IP55 rating, providing protection against dust and water splashes. Its specially coated electronic components are designed to withstand challenging environmental conditions, including moisture and extreme temperatures.

The enclosure also provides space for additional equipment such as an optional heater, allowing the installation to be adapted for colder environments where required.

Secure Business Communications
TLS encryption helps protect communication between network components, making the Snom M900 Outdoor suitable for professional environments where secure voice communication is important. DECT and LAN synchronisation provide flexible options for connecting and coordinating base stations within the wider network.

Simplified Handset Management
Managing a large DECT deployment does not have to require extensive manual maintenance. Through the Snom M900 Web UI, administrators can manage the base station and associated system settings. Connected handsets can also receive software updates and configuration information wirelessly using OTA technology.

This can simplify ongoing administration and reduce the workload for IT teams managing installations with many handsets.
