Overview:

Yealink W80B Multi-Cell DECT Base Station
What is Multi-Cell DECT Simply put, it means that a cordless phone can roam between multiple base stations without losing the call. The Yealink Multi-Cell DECT solution allows up to 100 handsets to be connected to up to 30 base stations, with seamless call handover that allows users to move freely throughout the coverage area. Taking the DECT base station range into account, with up to 50 metres indoors and up to 300 metres with a clear line of sight, this provides a large area of coverage when fully populated. Most businesses will not deploy phones across one large flat surface, making the Yealink Multi-Cell DECT solution particularly useful for bridging coverage dead spots between different floors and areas of multi-level buildings.

Unlike Wi-Fi-based cordless phones, which can be prone to interference and poor user experiences when incorrectly configured, DECT remains one of the leading technologies for high voice quality, low-interference and secure VoIP communication.

Multi-Cell DECT, combined with Yealink's industry-leading design, also brings cordless communication into a wider range of office environments, including desktop phone and boardroom applications. The solution can reduce installation complexity by limiting the need for Ethernet cabling, trenching and trunking while providing a scalable wireless communication network for businesses.

Description:

The Yealink W80B is a scalable Multi-Cell DECT base station designed for businesses that need reliable cordless VoIP communication across larger premises. It supports up to 100 handsets and up to 30 base stations, making it suitable for offices, warehouses, hotels, multi-level buildings and other environments where employees need to move around without dropping active calls.

The W80B provides seamless roaming and call handover between base stations, allowing users to move throughout the coverage area while remaining connected. It supports up to 100 parallel calls across a complete multi-cell deployment and can accommodate up to 100 SIP accounts. The base station supports compatible Yealink W53H and W56H handsets and includes PoE support for convenient network installation.

Features:

Yealink W80B Multi-Cell DECT System
A key advantage of the W80B is its ability to create a larger DECT coverage area by connecting multiple base stations into one coordinated system. Users can move from one coverage zone to another without manually reconnecting their handset, making the solution practical for workplaces where staff are frequently mobile.

The system is also useful when wireless coverage needs to extend across multiple floors or separate areas of a building. With the ability to deploy up to 30 base stations, businesses can create a flexible DECT network that can be expanded as their communication requirements grow.

Reliable Wireless VoIP Communication
DECT technology provides a dedicated wireless communication platform that can help reduce the interference often associated with congested Wi-Fi environments. The Yealink W80B is designed for clear, reliable and secure VoIP communication, making it well suited to professional business environments.

The multi-cell architecture also means businesses can provide cordless communication across areas where a single DECT base station would not provide sufficient coverage.

Flexible Business Deployment
The Yealink W80B can be used in a variety of commercial environments where employees need to remain reachable while moving between different areas. It is particularly useful in multi-level offices, warehouses, retail environments, hospitality locations and other larger workplaces.

As the network grows, additional W80B base stations can be deployed to extend coverage without replacing the entire cordless phone system. This provides a practical upgrade path for businesses that need to increase their DECT coverage over time.

Compatible Yealink Handsets
The W80B works with Yealink W53H and W56H cordless handsets, allowing businesses to build a compatible Yealink DECT solution around existing or new handsets. This can make expansion simpler when additional users or coverage areas are required.

Installation and Network Benefits
PoE support allows the W80B to receive power through a compatible Ethernet connection, helping simplify installation. A multi-cell DECT deployment can also reduce the requirement for Ethernet cabling to individual cordless handsets, potentially lowering installation complexity in suitable environments.

The wall-mountable design allows the base station to be positioned strategically to improve coverage across the required area.

Why Choose the Yealink W80B
For businesses that need more than the coverage provided by a single cordless phone base, the Yealink W80B offers a scalable approach to wireless business communication. Seamless roaming, support for up to 100 handsets and the ability to connect up to 30 base stations make it suitable for larger and more complex premises.
