Overview:

The Ubiquiti UniFi Express 7 is a mesh-scalable, super-compact 10G Cloud Gateway with integrated WiFi 7.

Description:

The Ubiquiti UniFi Express 7 UX7 combines a high-performance Cloud Gateway with built-in WiFi 7 in a compact desktop design. It provides a 10 GbE RJ45 WAN port for high-speed internet connections and a 2.5 GbE RJ45 LAN port for fast wired networking. With up to 2.3 Gbps IDS/IPS throughput, the UX7 is designed to handle demanding network security and traffic management without becoming a bottleneck.

Its integrated tri-band WiFi 7 capability provides high wireless performance across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands. The compact design makes the UX7 well suited to homes, small offices and modern networking installations where space is limited but fast, centrally managed connectivity is required.

Features:

Ubiquiti UniFi Express 7 WiFi 7 Cloud Gateway
The UniFi Express 7 is designed as an all-in-one networking solution for users who want fast wired connectivity, advanced network management and integrated wireless access in a single compact unit. Its mesh scalability also allows the wireless network to be expanded as coverage requirements grow.

Wireless performance is rated at up to 5.7 Gbps on the 6 GHz band, 4.3 Gbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. This tri-band configuration makes the UX7 suitable for high-bandwidth applications such as 4K streaming, large file transfers, online gaming, smart home devices and busy home or small business networks.

Fast 10 GbE and 2.5 GbE Networking
A 10 GbE RJ45 WAN port provides a high-speed connection to compatible internet services or upstream networking equipment, while the 2.5 GbE RJ45 LAN port supports fast wired devices.

The UX7 also supports up to 2.3 Gbps IDS/IPS throughput, helping maintain strong performance when network security and traffic inspection are enabled.

Key connectivity includes:

  • 1x 10 GbE RJ45 WAN port
  • 1x 2.5 GbE RJ45 LAN port
  • Up to 2.3 Gbps IDS/IPS throughput
  • USB Type-C power method
  • Integrated WiFi 7 tri-band wireless networking

Tri-Band WiFi 7 Performance
Integrated WiFi 7 gives the UniFi Express 7 the wireless capacity needed for modern connected environments. The 6 GHz band provides access to additional wireless spectrum and high throughput, while the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands support a wide range of existing and newer devices.

Wireless throughput is rated at:

  • 6 GHz: Up to 5.7 Gbps
  • 5 GHz: Up to 4.3 Gbps
  • 2.4 GHz: Up to 688 Mbps

Actual wireless speeds will vary depending on client hardware, network conditions, distance, interference and other environmental factors.

Compact Design with Mesh Scalability
The UniFi Express 7 is built for installations where a full-size networking appliance may be unnecessary. Its compact form factor combines gateway functionality and WiFi 7 in one device, helping reduce equipment clutter.

For larger properties or areas requiring additional coverage, the UX7 can form part of a scalable UniFi mesh network. This makes it suitable for expanding wireless coverage without replacing the core gateway.

Simple Power and Status Monitoring
Power is supplied through USB Type-C, providing a convenient power method for the compact gateway. A built-in 0.96-inch status display provides at-a-glance information directly on the device, making it easier to check network status without relying solely on a connected computer or mobile device.

Ideal for Home and Small Business Networks
The UniFi Express 7 is a practical choice for users upgrading to faster internet connectivity or building a modern WiFi 7 network. Its combination of 10 GbE WAN connectivity, 2.5 GbE LAN, integrated tri-band WiFi 7 and UniFi network management makes it suitable for demanding connected environments.

The product part number / SKU is UB-UX7, making it easy to identify when ordering or comparing compatible UniFi networking equipment.
