The Sunix SER6437A is a PCI Express serial communication card developed for users who require dependable RS232 connectivity on modern computer systems. It adds two independent DB9 serial ports using a single lane PCI Express interface while maintaining compatibility with larger PCI Express slots.

The integrated SUN2212 controller features a 16C950 compatible UART architecture with a 128 byte hardware FIFO and 128 KB software FIFO to improve communication efficiency and reduce processor overhead during continuous serial data transfers.
