Overview:

Newland N7 Cachalot Pro II Mobile Computer
The Newland N7 Cachalot Pro II is a rugged mobile computer designed for demanding warehouse, logistics, retail, and field applications. Combining a durable 4.0-inch touchscreen with a physical 47-key keyboard, fast barcode scanning, 4G connectivity, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS and Android 11, it provides a practical handheld solution for businesses that need reliable mobile data capture and communication.

Description:

Built for busy working environments, the Newland N7 Cachalot Pro II delivers the durability, scanning performance and connectivity required for daily professional use. Its Duo Near & Far 2D scanning system can capture barcodes from both close and longer distances, helping operators scan products, inventory and packages without repeatedly adjusting their position.

The rugged housing is rated IP65 and has been drop-tested from up to 1.8 metres. The 4.0-inch Gorilla Glass 3 touchscreen is designed for use in challenging conditions, with support for operation while wearing gloves and improved responsiveness when the screen is wet. The display also offers high transparency and low reflectivity for clearer viewing in bright environments.

With a 5100mAh hot-swappable battery, the N7 Cachalot Pro II can remain powered while a depleted battery is exchanged. This helps reduce interruptions during long shifts and keeps applications and wireless connectivity running during battery changes.

Features:

Rugged Mobile Computer for Warehouses and Logistics
The N7 Cachalot Pro II is built for environments where handheld devices can be exposed to dust, impacts and accidental drops. Its IP65 protection and 1.8m drop resistance make it suitable for demanding warehouse, distribution and logistics operations.

The device also provides a choice of physical keyboard configurations across the N7 Pro II range, allowing businesses to select a layout suited to their application. This model is supplied with the 47-key keyboard, with backlighting for improved visibility in darker working areas.

Duo Near & Far Barcode Scanning
The integrated 2D CMOS Duo Near & Far scanner is designed to improve barcode capture across different working distances. Two scan engines work together to identify whether a barcode is close or farther away and select the appropriate scanning engine.

This allows operators to scan items without constantly moving closer to or farther away from the target. The scanner supports 1D and 2D barcode capture and uses a laser diode aimer to help position the device accurately before scanning.

Key scanning capabilities include:

• 1D and 2D barcode scanning
• Duo Near & Far scanning technology
• 1280 x 800 CMOS image sensor
• Up to 60 frames per second scan rate
• Laser diode aiming
• Megapixel scanning performance

4.0-inch Gorilla Glass Touchscreen
The N7 Cachalot Pro II features a 4.0-inch WVGA 480 x 800 IPS touchscreen protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The display is designed to remain practical in demanding work environments, with low reflectivity and high transparency for clearer viewing.

The touchscreen can also respond when users are wearing gloves and is designed to maintain sensitivity when wet. A gravity sensor and Hall switch are included as part of the device hardware.

Android 11 Mobile Platform
Running Android 11 with GMS, the N7 Cachalot Pro II provides access to Google Mobile Services while supporting business applications used for inventory, warehouse management, delivery, retail and other mobile workflows.

The device is also Android Enterprise Recommended, supporting business-focused security and operating system management requirements. Newland's Ndevor mobile device management solution can be used to maintain visibility and control over deployed devices.

Hot-Swappable 5100mAh Battery
The 5100mAh battery is designed for extended daily operation and supports fast charging. Its hot-swappable design allows users to replace the battery without fully shutting down the device, helping minimise downtime during busy shifts.

For larger deployments, the single charging cradle can be linked with up to three additional cradles, providing charging for up to four units while reducing the number of power outlets required.

Connectivity for Mobile Business Applications
The N7 Cachalot Pro II provides a broad selection of wireless and wired connectivity options, making it suitable for mobile workers who need access to business systems while moving around a facility or working in the field.

Connectivity and expansion options include:

• 4G mobile connectivity
• GPRS
• Dual-band WiFi
• Bluetooth 5.0
• NFC
• GPS
• USB-C
• Micro SD/TF card support up to 128GB

Camera and Memory
The mobile computer is equipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, providing space for business applications and locally stored data. Storage can be expanded using a Micro SD/TF card with support for cards up to 128GB.

A 13 megapixel camera is included for capturing images, documenting inventory or supporting other business processes that require visual data.
