Ajax MotionCam Jeweller - White Wireless Indoor Motion Detector with Camera
The Ajax MotionCam Jeweller is a cutting-edge indoor motion detector equipped with a built-in photo camera to verify alarms instantly. Combining advanced PIR sensor technology, a specially designed Fresnel lens, and intelligent software algorithms, this device ensures accurate motion detection while minimizing false alarms. Its wireless design, long-range communication capabilities, and quick photo verification make it ideal for both home and business security systems. MotionCam Jeweller captures detailed images in any lighting condition, including complete darkness, allowing users and security operators to respond to threats efficiently.
MotionCam Jeweller integrates a high-precision PIR sensor with a Fresnel lens optimized to distinguish humans from pets and thermal noise. The SmartDetect software instantly filters out false alarms, while temperature compensation maintains detection accuracy across a wide temperature range. The detector takes up to 5 photos per alarm, using IR backlighting for low-light conditions and HDR technology for balanced, detailed images. Its wireless Jeweller and Wings communication protocols provide instant alarm alerts and deliver the first photo within 9 seconds, even over distances up to 1,700 meters. With a compact, tamper-resistant design and pre-installed batteries that last up to four years, MotionCam Jeweller offers reliable, maintenance-free security.
Intelligent Motion Detection
The detector's PIR sensor captures human motion up to 12 meters away, with a horizontal detection angle of 88.5 degrees and a vertical angle of 80 degrees. Its lens sections are designed to focus on the head and torso of an adult, producing a detailed thermal diagram. SmartDetect software analyzes motion speed, heat intensity, and time spent in the detection zone to filter out false alarms caused by pets or environmental factors. Sensitivity levels can be adjusted via the Ajax app to suit the specific environment, ensuring optimal protection without unnecessary alerts.
Photo Verification and Real-Time Evidence
MotionCam Jeweller provides photo verification for every alarm, delivering the first image within 9 seconds. The device captures a series of photos using HDR technology to enhance visibility in both bright and low-light settings. This allows users and security operators to accurately assess the situation before intruders realize they have been detected. IR backlighting ensures clear images in total darkness, giving law enforcement or security teams essential evidence without delay.
Privacy and Data Security
Photos are encrypted at every stage of transmission and storage, complying with GDPR requirements. Only authorized users can access visual data through the Ajax app, and the device does not support on-demand photos. A detailed event log records the last 500 system events, ensuring transparency while maintaining privacy. Access permissions can be customized to control who can view or request images.
Reliable Wireless Communication
MotionCam Jeweller uses the Jeweller protocol for alarm signals and Wings for transmitting photos. This dual system delivers instant notifications and ensures the first photo reaches the hub within seconds. With a communication range of up to 1,700 meters and frequency hopping to prevent jamming, the device maintains stable, secure connections. Range extenders like ReX 2 can expand coverage across larger facilities or complex buildings.
Tamper Protection and Anti-Sabotage Measures
The detector is equipped with a tamper button that alerts users and security operators if the device is removed or detached from the SmartBracket mount. Device authentication prevents spoofing, and communication loss is detected within 36 seconds. Data is secured using dynamic block encryption, making unauthorized access extremely difficult.
Effortless Setup and Operation
Installation is simple using the SmartBracket mounting panel. The detector can be mounted on walls or corners without disassembly. Pairing with the hub is quick through QR code scanning, and all settings, including sensitivity and photo resolution, can be adjusted remotely via the Ajax app. Pre-installed batteries provide up to 4 years of operation, with low-battery alerts sent to users and monitoring services in advance.
